Baika No Jutsu
Baika no Jutsu
Name
English: Multi-Size Technique
Data
Classification: Ninjutsu
Type: Akimichi Ryuu
Class: Supplementary

The Baika no Jutsu, or Multi-Size Technique, is a core part of the Akimichi Ryuu. This technique allows the user to enlarge their body (and clothes/gear worn or held). The largest an Akimichi can get with this technique is in the realm of four to six times the height of an average person.

Using this jutsu increases the mass of the user, allowing their taijutsu techniques to land with more force while providing more bulk to absorb damage. It also is necessary prior to using certain Akimichi Ryuu techniques.

Variations

  • Bubun Baika no Jutsu (Partial Multi-Size Technique)
    • Class: Supplementary
    • This variation allows the user to enlarge parts of their body instead of the entire body. The expansion is rapid, reducing the time an opponent can react. Usually used with arms or legs, it is also used prior to performing the Nikudan Sensha, though it's generally referred to as the regular version in such instances.
    • Those with insufficient skill in the Calorie Control jutsu can use the Spinach Pill from the Sanshoku no Gan'yaku, but this is not recommended.
  • Chou Baika no Jutsu
    • Class: Supplementary
    • This variation removes the height limit of the technique, allowing an Akimichi to enlarge themselves to incredible sizes. Use of this jutsu by Chouji Akimichi in 79AF allowed him to enlarge to the point that full grown trees were about the height of his feet.
    • Users with insufficient skill in the Calorie Control jutsu can use the Curry Pill from the Sanshoku no Gan'yaku, but this is not recommended.
